Our Mission
The Chester Referees Association is committed to supporting, developing, and promoting referees of all levels within our community. We aim to create an inclusive and educational environment where referees can grow, connect, and excel in their officiating careers.
Who We Are
We are a local branch of the national Referees’ Association, dedicated to representing the interests of referees in Chester and the surrounding areas. Our members range from those just starting out to experienced referees with years of service. Together, we form a supportive network that champions the values of integrity, fairness, and respect in the game.
What We Do
Training & Development: We offer comprehensive training programmes and workshops to help referees improve their skills and knowledge. Our sessions cover everything from the basics of officiating to advanced techniques for managing matches at all levels.
Support & Mentoring: Our association provides ongoing support and mentoring for referees at every stage of their journey. Whether you’re new to refereeing or looking to advance to higher levels, our experienced members are here to guide you.
Events & Meetings: We regularly organise events and meetings where members can come together, share experiences, and stay informed about the latest developments in refereeing. These gatherings are a great opportunity to build connections and learn from each other.
Our Meetings
At our monthly meetings, held on the 4th Thursday at the King George Sports Hub, we gather to discuss a wide range of topics related to refereeing. These meetings include updates on the latest rule changes, discussions on match incidents, and opportunities for members to share their experiences and challenges. We also focus on training and development, providing a platform for both new and experienced referees to enhance their skills and knowledge. Networking and socialising are also key aspects of our meetings, fostering a strong community spirit.
